The Palmview Lobo Junior Varsity Basketball team recently played against the Nikki Rowe Warriors and lost with a score of 45 to 21. The team played on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Lobo gym.
“A challenge I faced was that the referees were making bad calls,” said guard Irving Gamez.
The team had many challenges when it came to the referee calls. Although referees aren’t expected to see all of the passes and shots the team felt that many of the travels and fouls weren’t seen.
“I was most proud when we played well at the beginning of the game,” said Gamez.
The JV team believes that they “could’ve done better” towards the end of the game by focusing more on each other and making their shots.
“At our next game, as a team, I hope that we work on our communication,” said Daniel Garcia.
Garcia is proud of the fact that he was a “teamplayer” and helped his teammates when they were in need.
The junior varsity basketball team is working hard to prepare for their upcoming games in the near future. They plan on working hard from the start in efforts to making more shots.
